The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts opened in 1993,
becoming the world's most innovative theater. With award-wining architecture,
technology, and urban design, the CCPA presents an annual season of over 150
performances from August through May, including inaugural performances by Frank
Sinatra to the command performances by the Royal Shakespeare Company for His
Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales. Receiving international acclaim and
ranking among the top theaters in the nation, the CCPA has been the number one
venue in California since it's opening.
The CCPA features a flexible 6,000-square-foot theater
capable of six different seating and stage configurations, ranging from a
1,800-seat arena theater to a 900-seat recital hall setting. In addition, the
numerous conference rooms and banquet and reception rooms are available for
rental.

Located in the Civic Center adjacent to City Hall, the world's first "Experience Library" is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. & Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The $40 million library is the first titanium-clad building
in the United States, and is 88,500 square feet on three levels. The library
has a substantial book collection, with space for over 300,000 volumes, and
features everything from a 15,000-gallon saltwater aquarium at the entrance to
a full-size replica of a Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil in the Children's Library.
Technology supports all areas of library service and
functions, from the library's intranet, called MyClio, to numerous multimedia
learning centers, and over 200 public computer workstations and seating with
1,200 laptop ports. Staff technology includes wireless headsets and a
circulation system that uses radio frequency to track books.

Located in the Cerritos Civic Center, the Cerritos Sculpture
Garden was dedicated in 2006 as a 50th anniversary gift to the community. The
beautiful garden offers a delightful setting for the City's growing collection
of public artwork. With both intimate spaces and spacious open areas, the
Cerritos Sculpture Garden is an inviting place to experience art, nature and
peaceful contemplation. Framed with graceful trees and textured courtside
stonewalls, the garden itself is a work of art. The City of Cerritos will
continue to place new artwork in the Cerritos Sculpture Garden as the space is
designed to showcase 20 pieces.
