Located in the Heart of the LA-OC Metropolitan Area
The Cerritos region is located in the heart of the Los Angeles-Orange
County metro center, midway between downtown Los Angeles and the
business centers of Irvine, Santa Ana and Anaheim.
Because Cerritos and Hawaiian Gardens are virtually the geographic
center of the Los Angeles Basin, it has become one of Southern
California's premier commercial crossroads. The cities are served
directly by the 5, 605, 91, and 105 freeways and are close to the 405
and 710 freeways. Known for its easy access to all modes of
transportation, Cerritos is essentially the distribution hub for both
Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
The master-planned city of Cerritos lies along the Los Angeles-Orange
County line, about 30 driving minutes from both Los Angeles
International Airport and the John Wayne Orange County Airport.
Cerritos is seven miles from the Long Beach Airport, 10 miles from the
Port of Los Angeles, and just a few miles from the Long Beach Harbor,
Amtrak, and Metrolink. The 1 square mile city of Hawaiian Gardens is
located 3 miles south of Cerritos and is bounded by the Los Angeles
County cities of Long Beach and Lakewood, and by the Orange County city
of Cypress.
