The “semi-marine” climate of the Cerritos region is ideal for comfortable living with warm summers and cool winters. The area boasts a unique climate pattern that allows for a cool ocean breeze from the Santa Ana River channel while escaping the coastal fog that often covers beach cities. The Mediterranean climate provides an average daytime summer temperature of 82 degrees. Winter days average 67 degrees. Nights average about 20 degrees cooler than the daytime average. Average annual rainfall is 13 inches per year, usually occurring between November and March.
