community_safety_center_2.jpgThe Cerritos Sheriff’s Station & Community Safety Center provides law enforcement services to Cerritos residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Located in the Civic Center, just steps from Cerritos City Hall, the Sheriff’s Station houses 80 Sheriff's deputies and support personnel and includes a communications center with 911 dispatchers, meeting rooms, a training-briefing room, and booking and custody area. The Station houses the Cerritos Community Safety Division and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department personnel.

The Community Safety Division coordinates all public safety services for the City of Cerritos. Among the services offered to Cerritos residents and business owners are: home and business security inspections, crime prevention training, vacation security checks, outreach to at-risk youth, police reports, Volunteers on Patrol Program and fingerprinting for children and adults. In support of community-based policing the City has compiled business crime prevention information to assist business owners with protecting their customers, employees, and property. Information is available on the City’s website at: www.safercerritos.com. Business owners may also call the Cerritos Sheriff’s Station at (562) 860-0044 to talk to a deputy about crime prevention measures.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department provides law enforcement for the City of Hawaiian Gardens, utilizing the nearby Lakewood Sheriff’s Station. Fire Protection in Hawaiian Gardens is provided by the Los Angeles County Fire Department with ambulance transport by Care Ambulance Service.
